COVID-19 UPDATES PROTOCOLS & CLIENT WAIVER

To my amazing clients, your health, safety and wellbeing is the most important thing to me. I have been working hard to prepare for the reopen of my business. I wanted to thank you for your patience during this challenging situation. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our community and industry. Despite the change of plans, I am so thankful to be able to get back in action doing what I love most! Currently I am planning to start my services by mid-June! I am now scheduling appointments for all upcoming events and trials to take place from mid-June and moving forward into 2020! The State Board of Cosmetologists have posted guidelines for salons and I am waiting for New York State to post theirs. For now I am assuming our guidelines in New York will be similar to what they are out of state. These salon guidelines are what I will be adhering to while providing my services on location.

My plan is to go above what is recommended. I have consulted with other very reputable salons who have already opened their doors, to create my own safety protocols to keep everyone safe. The following list will outline those protocols as well as inform you what to expect upon returning to your appointment. Again I appreciate your patience as I navigate through this new challenge.

  • Only clients receiving a service will be allowed in the shop.

  • No more than 6 people will be allowed in the shop at one time.

  • Treating everyone, including staff, as if they could be infected.

  • Each area, all tools, and equipment will be sanitized and/or disinfected between each client.

  • Masks will be mandatory.

  • It is not mandatory to wear gloves as long as you are following hand sanitizing procedures.

  • I have updated my certification on sanitation protocols via Barbacide and OSHA.GOV

  • Cancellation/no show policy- will not be penalizing for any last minute cancellations due to being sick. However please provide me with information as soon as possible so I can adjust my schedule accordingly.

  • Rest assured, I hope to get back to a new normal and offering many new services and extras for you to enjoy!

  • These protocols will continue to be refined and adjusted as needed and Ill keep you informed every step of the way.

BeautyByChristinaKay, operated by Christina Michaelides is doing everything she can do to protect you, our clients, our community, and our staff. To this extent, I will be following the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and local health department guidelines with regard to social distancing practices and sanitation in order to reduce the spread of Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. This will require everyone to remain 6 feet of distance as much as possible in our store setting. I will also be requiring the same procedure for client to client contact in order to limit exposure to all individuals. 

It is also required to everyone to either wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival of your appointment, after using the restroom, sneezing, or coughing,

If we all work together, we can overcome the spread of this virus as well as other infectious diseases.
